First Stop

Several crops, one truck. This works out which markets to visit, what rides where, and what the week nets after diesel, waiting, commission and spoilage.

Commission is what the market takes off the top. The terminal quote is a wholesale reference, not your check.

What is real and what is a guess

  • Public: USDA AMS Atlanta terminal quotes, Georgia ZIP centres, and OSRM road distances. Every one is shown with its source.
  • Nine markets. Cairo, Cordele and Valdosta are seasonal and are hidden outside April–November rather than offered as a stop that may be shut.
  • Guesses you can change: pack weights, diesel, your hourly value, the wait, spoilage rate and storage cost.
  • Not in here: live prices at each market. The terminal quote is the same number everywhere unless you say a market pays more — which is the only reason a two-market trip ever wins.
